1974

Founding of Fritz Stephan as a sole proprietorship in Hamburg.

Development of the first ventilation system for neonatology.

1978

Sole proprietorship changed to F. Stephan GmbH.

Cooperation with Carl Heyer GmbH, Bad Ems.

Sales become international

Expansion of product line to include monitors and inhalation anaesthetic and respiratory therapy equipment.

 1990

F. Stephan GmbH relocated from Hamburg to Gackenbach (Westerwald).

Development of the ARTEC and PORTEC anaesthetic systems.

Cooperation with the Technical University in Dresden.

1992

Development and market introduction of the STAXEL oxygen generator.

1996 F. STEPHAN GMBH certified in accordance to ISO 9001.
Presentation of the STEPHANIE ventilation system at the Medica trade show.
1998

Death of the company's founder Fritz Stephan, his daughter, Tanja Stephan, assumes leadership of the company.

Market introduction of the NEOSID NOVA monitoring system and the CHRISTINA pediatric ventilation system.

Continued expansion and restructuring of our export activities.

2001

Tanja Stephan becomes the principal shareholder in F. Stephan GmbH.

Georg Mainusch is selected as the second CEO of F. Stephan GmbH.

Market introduction of the FS oxygen generation unit.

2002 F. Stephan GmbH is active in all major international markets.
2003 Sales office for the Arabic-speaking world opens in Amman, Jordan.
2004 Market introduction of the AKZENT anaesthesiology system and of the ALIA ventilation system.
2006

Sales office for East Asia opens in Malaysia.

F. Stephan GmbH  receives the "Phoenix" award from the Ministry of Economics in Rhineland-Palatinate, being considered the company of the year to .

2007 Second production facility opens in Adorf/Erzgebirge.
